I was on my way to a concert on Thursday and I came to a disturbing realization. School has offically made my brain less fun. This past week was filled with midterms, papers, takehome tests, essays, etc. Five classes, all of them with ridiculous amounts of work, all decided to have everything due at once. I studied, wrote, crammed, and just plain guessed my booty off.
We were in the car listening to John Mayer (does his music make anyone else as calm/happy as it does me?) and there's a line in the song that says "cause when they own the information they can bend it all they want." No lie, I bust out with "what he's talking about actually happens, its a phenomenon called asymmetric information and its very serious when it comes to the media portrayal of political and news issues." HOW LAME AM I?!?! A song that I usually sing along and smile to, now i'm lecturing people about media influence on politics (and we all know how I feel about politics....)
I think i'm going to quit school. Sike! I'm so close to finishing I can TASTE IT! I guess i'll just have to have more fun to balance out the scales....

LOL! I love John Mayer - but yeah, gotta agree - if you're taking songs from JM and lecturing about the media influence on politics, you might have a problem. :-)
